Why should parents watch K-DRAMAS πŸ‡°πŸ‡·?

I’ve gotten back into my K-drama craze recently and have been catching up on 2 Netflix series concurrently – Was it Love? and Itaewon Class. To be honest, I didn’t even know why I started Itaewon Class because it didn’t sound very fun-loving to me, not something like Was it Love? 😍

But this show is deeper than the way its title sounds (which I thought was about a bunch of school kids up to mischief in Itaewon). Initial storyline was pretty typical (it really was about a bunch of middle school kids!), but what’s next is like the dream of all parents – kid whom despite the cards life has dealt him, continues to live his life with razor-sharp focus and purpose for bigger things! In Itaewon of course. πŸ˜‚

K-dramas are just way too good at tugging at the audience’s heartstrings. πŸ₯° Now, my kids would randomly check on me while i’m watching an episode and ask if i’m crying even when the scene has nothing to cry about! πŸ™„

Anyway just so you know that I take my Kdramas seriously, my takeaway from this show is that for anyone to succeed in anything, it’s useful to have a coach/mentor/guide, game plan and practice, practice, practice! We also start from the basics.

With the hope of my kids turning out like the protagonist in terms of strength of character, the next time they ask me if i’m crying, l’ll just tell them this show is not the crying type – it’s more like hopscotch and they should start playing it.
