Perfectionism is imperative for a situation that calls for precision – like a pilot flying an aeroplane and landing it. We need to exercise perfectionism to keep our lives safe!
Yet, perfectionism on the other hand, is the death of anything that involves (even if it’s only a little of) creativity, love and the courage to venture into the unknown – like parenting.
Why do we strive to be perfect parents when circumstances don’t call for us to be so? Why can’t we trust in fun, versatility and being silly many times over so that it is less hard work and more of an art form to connect and live?
Before you know it, your kid might just be flying that aeroplane with perfectionism, because he/she was raised to see perfectionism in its RIGHT perspective.💫
